Special Instructions
IMPORTANT DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS: Please deliver your family-style meal to the Department of Child & Family Services building in downtown Vancouver before noon on the date you sign up for. Once at the front desk, simply mention that your delivery goes through Lindsay Griffin and is for the teens staying the night in a hotel. The secretary will be happy to see that your homemade meal gets to these children. Please note that we are providing one meal that will feed approximately 10 teens staying the night with DCYF workers. The staff does not have access to a full kitchen and are limited to a hotel kitchenette where they have a microwave and toaster oven for reheating food. We have the opportunity to provide nutritious meals and fresh produce that trumps the nonperishable items that make up most of the meals served. Your meal will be delivered to the hotel by dinner and any leftovers will be enjoyed over the weekend. If you need any guidance or support with your meal prep or delivery please feel free to contact me by text or email. Contact Info: Emma Roberson @ emmar@theforgotteninitiative.org or text (541) 515-1170.
