Special Instructions
Meals may be prepared in our kitchen but no more than 4 volunteers are permitted at a time so that we do not over-crowd the kitchen when families may need to use it as well. We do have a grill outside on our back patio available for use if more than 4 volunteers per group want to prepare the meal. Volunteers who prepare a meal on site are also expected to clean-up after cooking but are not expected to stay to serve the meal unless they want to! Feel free to also bring a copy of the recipe for the meal being served and we will add it to our recipe binder (families often ask us for copies of recipes). Meals purchased from a restaurant or prepared in advance may also be dropped off by individuals/groups and volunteers. Volunteers may stay to serve the meal if they choose to do so. We request that meals be ready to serve between 11am-12:30pm for lunch or 4:30pm-6:00pm for dinner. Please do let us know on the sign-up what time you plan to have the meal ready so that we may post a sign informing our guests what time the meal will be served.
