My insides have been rearranged multiple ways over the past few months and it turns out onions are OK again, in moderation and very soft. Vegetables need to be cooked to a soft state until chemo is over and my digestive system regenerates a bit. Nothing too spicy. Don't want to make those staples in my colon red-hot. Protein is very important: lean meats, beans, nut butters, tofu, lentils…

Special Instructions
If you're looking for meal ideas, here's a good starting point (recommended by Matt's dietician at Froedtert): https://www.cookforyourlife.org/recipes/health-considerations/high-protein/ I have been told to avoid fish, and I have the worst acid reflux you can imagine, if that helps you navigate at all. We are so incredibly thankful for anything anyone brings over that I will do my best to ingest no matter what. Even if it turns out someone dropped off something that my new insides do not like, Ellie needs sustenance and support as much as I do, if not more considering the support she is giving me. You can't mess this up. I love you. Even if you never send food or food-adjacent supplies. You are all the best.
