Meal Instructions
The following list includes suggestions and ideas for those providing food/meals for His Little Feet. Our staff and kids will be happy to enjoy whatever meals are provided. Please let us know if you have any questions and/or concerns. We are flexible. Thank you!!
Food Allergies: We have one team member with a dairy allergy.
HOT LUNCH OR DINNER IDEAS
For each meal, please use the MISC. FOOD ITEMS below to select and add one drink type and one type of fruit to the meal, if needed. Chips and dessert are optional for you to provide. Please no FAST FOOD.
- Chicken (Grilled, Baked or Fried); Noodles with butter on the side; steamed broccoli.
- Pad Thai or Chinese Lo Mein Noodles with chicken and vegetables; Chicken Fried Rice; Hard Boiled Eggs
- Mexican Food Buffet Style - Build your own taco, burrito or nachos (Fixins’ – Green Lettuce (no iceberg), Salsa, Sour Cream, Cheese, Diced Tomatoes, Chopped Green Onions, Sliced Avocado)
- Chicken with Sauce (Thai Yellow Curry, Butter Chicken or Tikka Masala; white rice; Roasted potatoes and carrots
- Hamburgers and Baked French Fries (Fixins’ - Tomatoes, Lettuce, Red Onion, Dill Pickles, Mustard, Mayo), Corn
- Baked Potato Bar (Fixins’: Chili, Shredded Cheese, Sour Cream, Onions, Bacon and Butter) and Green Salad (no iceberg lettuce)
- Spaghetti with Meat Sauce; Garlic Bread; Green Salad
- Taco Soup/Chili (Fixins’ - Salsa, Sour Cream, Cheese, Diced Tomatoes, Green Onions, Sliced Avocado), Green Salad
MISC. ADDITIONAL FOOD ITEM IDEAS
- Drinks: Water, Milk or Juice (please no soda)
- Fruits: Apples, Grapes, Pineapples, Bananas, Mangos, Watermelon, Strawberries, Fruit Cup Medley.
- Chips: Plain Potato Chips, Nacho Cheese Doritos, Cheetos, Spicy Cheetos, Corn Chips.
- Desserts: Vanilla Ice Cream, Rainbow Sherbet Ice Cream, Cupcakes, Chocolate Chip Cookies.
- Other: The children love Hot Sauce and Ketchup at every meal!
If you wish to provide financial resources for a meal ($100 Team Breakfast; $125 for Team Lunch; $150 for Team Dinners), our HLF will staff will prepare and serve the meal from that provision. If a monetary donation is given via Credit Card (www.hislittlefeet.org/give), Check (Made out to: His Little Feet) or Cash, we can send an acknowledgement receipt letter for tax purposes. Visa Giftcards for grocery needs are also appreciated.
