Popeye's, Federalist Pig, Nandos, Ledo's Pizza, Yum's, Busboys and Poets, DCity Smokehouse, and Ben's Chili Bowl. Generally speaking, chicken or BBQ are always winners! Residents/community members love pasta/potato/coleslaw salads.

Leafy green salads (we don't like our greens as much as we should here!)

Meal Instructions

Please ensure that donated prepared meal has not been eaten from, and is safe to eat. Please properly label the food you are dropping off so staff knows what they are providing residents, and include heating instructions! Please keep in mind that we serve a vulnerable population that could be seriously affected if proper food preparation safety measures are not carefully followed. Follow these important steps outlined by the CDC (https://www.cdc.gov/foodsafety/keep-food-safe.html): - Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and warm water before, during, and after preparing food. - Always wash hands after handling uncooked meat, chicken and other poultry, seafood, flour, or eggs. - Wash your utensils, cutting boards, and countertops with hot, soapy water after preparing each food item. - Rinse fresh fruits and vegetables under running water. - Separate raw and ready to eat foods to avoid cross-contamination and food poisoning - Cook food to the right temperature to kill germs. - Chill food promptly (freeze if you must, but we prefer fresh food!)
