MASKING 😷 if you're visiting, please expect to wear a mask — i generally don't want to get sick but especially not while i'm healing from surgery. i can provide one if you need, just let me know. ACCESSIBILITY INFO ℹ️ i may ask you to come to the front (porch) door or main entrance (backyard) door. i'm on the first floor but there's a short flight of steps at both entrances.

my appetite can be generally finicky and weird at times and will likely be low while i'm recovering from surgery, so feel free to check in with me about meals before drop-off :-) MEAL IDEAS 💡 soup of any kind, salads full of veggies and nuts and seeds and lentils/beans, smoothies, stir fries, pasta, peanut noodles, really any kind of roasted veggie situation WEST PHILLY TAKEOUT FAVS 🥘 * buna cafe (indugai tibs, lentil sambusas, juices) * don barriga (veggie tacos/burrito/fajitas/gorditas) * taco taco (veggie/sweet potato/biff tacos/burrito) * vientiane cafe (naam salad) * alif brew (lentil sambusas) * satellite (kale smoothie) * cleo bagels (pb&j, any bagel or bialy w/ vegan cream cheese) * dottie's donuts (anything tbh) * four worlds (pastries!!)

Least Favorite Meals

i do not like olives or pickles and avoid other pickled or brined foods in general. i do like mushrooms but can be very picky about how they're prepared so best to avoid!!

i will generally not be up and moving around for a bit so help during visits might look like: bringing me drinks/food/other objects around the apartment, taking out trash and recycling, doing dishes, helping me readjust my position or get in/out of bed, helping me get to the bathroom, preparing my meds, helping with pet care, and coordinating/accepting meal drop-offs. i also added a couple of time slots for help cleaning/tidying on a couple of saturdays but if you are able to help with this, it can happen any time at your convenience :-)

Help Instructions

CAT CARE 🐈 the cats need to be fed morning and night and litter box needs to be scooped once a day at either time. i'm trying to see how much of this i can reasonably automate, so may not need so much help with this. litter box is located down one flight of stairs. cashew gets one pill daily at either meal, which he needs to be swaddled for. DOG CARE 🐕 clover will be with my mom for the first 2 weeks of my recovery (at least, potentially longer) but then i will likely need support caring for her as well. she needs to be fed morning and night and gets a few pills daily, which can be easily wrapped up and given to her as "treats." she doesn't need to be walked far (just a few blocks), but if you're able and open to it, a long walk would be a huge help. she's small and walks well on a leash but tends to bark and pull towards dogs/squirrels so you'll want to keep your distance from them as much as possible. she is delightful and very cute; you will have fun with her i promise.
