Last month was interesting with our last-minute venue change. Fortunately, all of the awesome donors found us at the new place, and together, you made it happen! This month we're back at the new/temporary digs (4515 16th Ave NE - University Congregational Church in the U District). Having the main dish all ready to go worked well for our small service crew, so we're going that route again. This go round: Casseroles! They're easy to make on a large scale and yummy comfort food for a cold January night. Make what you love! Hot dish, tuna casserole, lasagna, tamale pie, corn dog casserole (yes, that's a thing!) ... you decide what to make and bring. If you are making casserole please follow the Teen Feed rule of thumb when it comes to portion sizes: Go huge! Take a 'normal' serving and pretty much double or triple it. Often, this is the only meal these teens are having all day, so more is definitely better. Please bring your casserole in a pan you can leave behind, and labeled with your name and the casserole's ingredients. Thanks! If a casserole isn't in the cards for you, there are plenty of other items needed to make this meal happen. Check out the list and see where you can contribute. As always, let me know if you want to be removed from the Teen Feed email list, or if you have a friend or family member who would like to get involved, feel free to share the link to this Meal Train.
