Meal Train® for Memorial Hospital Inpatient Units- COVID-19

Special Instructions

Please support our local restaurants and delivery drivers and STAY HOME AND HEALTHY. ***Please no home cooked meals. ***We also ask for you to alert our communications department 48 hours in advance if you plan to invite media. Please email: hprescott@beaconhealthsystem.org Sign-up for a date, indicate if you would like to deliver lunch or dinner (11:30am or 8:00pm) so we can inform the ER OR COVID-19 inpatient unit(s) on that shift. Coordinate with any local food establishment for that restaurant to deliver food directly to the Main Entrance of the hospital. Our hospital staff will ensure it gets to the unit. ***Please sign up 24 hours in advance and ensure to specify the time of delivery (11:30am or 8:00pm) so we can notify that shift and be prepared for the delivery. Step by Step Instructions: 1. Select Date you wish to donate meal in the calendar 2. In the *meal section type in time of meal (11:30am or 8:00pm) and also what restaurant you will be ordering the meal from. EXAMPLE: “11:30am Panera Bread” 3. Call a local restaurant of your choice and order catering for 25 people Delivery Instructions for Restaurant/Driver: Deliver food to the Main Entrance of Memorial Hospital of South Bend. Inside the door there will be a cart designated for food delivery as well as a Memorial Hospital associate, ask them to call nursing supervisors 574-647-6972. Please place all food on that designated cart. The Memorial staff member will immediately pick up the food and bring it to the specified unit. ***PLEASE STATE IF IT IS A SPECIFIC DEPARTMENT ***If you are picking the food up and delivering, please follow the same instructions above.
