Meal Train® for Prevention Point Philadelphia

We are excited to announce that the Point of Refuge respite has moved into a new building! We are now located at 2917 Kensington Ave (right across from our main building, formerly Village Thrift). Our new space is beautiful and homey - real beds! new furniture! fully stocked kitchen with lots of storage! New space also means more people! We are now housing up to 40 people a night. One of the highlights of our respites is the food donated by our generous volunteers. Our guests are always incredibly grateful and appreciative of these meals and look forward to meeting and thanking the individuals who take the time to prepare them. We invite you to join us in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests again! If you cannot make a meal we also appreciate donations of bag lunches, frozen pre-made dinners (such as lasagna), and other foods for sandwiches, light meals, etc. Any questions about this meal train may be directed to Kate Perch at katie@ppponline.org or 215-266-4578...

Prevention Point respite re-opening!!

KP

June 21, 2017 by Kate Perch

Hello Everyone! We are excited to announce that the Point of Refuge respite is re-opening as a year round program! This is all thanks to the success of our work during the last 3 winters - did you know that nearly half of our guests from the 2017 winter respite have moved on to permanent housing? We couldn't have done it without the support of our fabulous volunteers and donors! And now we are reaching out again in hopes that you can continue to support this life-saving work. If you cannot make a meal that's no problem! We are always looking for donations of brown bag lunches, lunch meat, frozen lasagnas, and other pre-made dinners (especially in these hot summer months when a full hot meal won't always be necessary). Also toiletries, socks, underwear, anything you would like to contribute to the safety and security of our guests. As always, thank you for your support of all our work at Prevention Point!
