Special Instructions
NEW- NEW- NEW: Gabe's GI doctor is having Abby do a more specific elimination of dairy protein from her diet. This means NO dairy, Soy, Whey OR BEEF of any kind. What does this mean for you? It means you probably can't use a prepared jar or can of something in your recipe as soy is in practically everything as a preservative. It means READ THE FOOD LABEL if needed. You can do it. I promise. Bring your meals back to basics- a protein (not cooked in butter, think Olive oil or Rice oil), a veggie/salad/fruit and a starch (hello potatoes and rice). IF you don't feel confident cooking for them there are a few options: 1. Whole Foods- Rotisserie chicken with a selection of prepared sides from their deli section- READ THE LABEL on the sides--- they will tell you if they contain soy at the bottom 2. Chipotle! They are soy free!! whoohoo! Need help or ideas: Reach out to Emily Bogertmann 616-446-2089. Emily is soy and dairy free and is an AMAZING cook with loads of substitutions, ideas and helpful tips. Yes, I called her to talk about all of this.
