You have been invited to help with the Hope Cottage Meal Mission on Saturday, September 26th. You are a huge blessing to this ministry through your prayers, donations, teaching, worship and service. If you are providing food or serving food, please be sure to have the food and/or yourselves there by 5:30 pm. Food can be dropped off between 4-5:30 PM as the office is open then. Dinner is served promptly at 6pm, therefore, we need to be sure we are all ready at 5:30 pm with our team and supplies. If you need to use the kitchen, you are welcome to do so and can come early to do that. PLEASE LABEL DISHES WITH YOUR NAME AND THEY WILL BE RETURNED TO THE CHURCH BY SUNDAY MORNING. When you arrive **All servers in the kitchen need to wear a mask for the residents protection against COVID. All who have hair of ANY length, will need to put it in a hair net(provided). Then, please wash hands in the hand washing sink with warm soapy water for at least 20 seconds and wear provided gloves if you are serving or cooking food. PLEASE DO NOT EAT in the kitchen as that is against their health codes. Men and women over 14 can serve in the kitchen. All can pray with the residents and get to know them in the name of Jesus. We will be needed for putting away and labeling food with the date, but not for dishes, as they take pride in their chores. Due to COVID19, Hope Cottage requests that all volunteers wear a mask at all times and we won't be eating with residents at this time.
CHAPEL TIME: If you are volunteering for Chapel Time, be sure to arrive by 6:55PM. This chapel time can be a sharing of your testimony, ways to pray, or God story. We will need to wear a mask until we can socially distance during chapel time. Chapel Time Speaker: This person(s) will have about 30 minutes to share. They do not need to be a pastor, elder or leader in our church or have a background in public speaking. This is an intimate setting where you will have about 20 ladies listening. Chapel Time Worship Leader: You need not be a worship leader at church to help in this ministry, you just need to love worshipping through music. We usually play about 4 songs, which is about 15 minutes of worship time. If you don’t play an instrument, don’t worry, you can play a few YouTube videos on your phone and stream it via blue tooth to a wireless speaker for a sing along. If you are gifted in playing an instrument, but don’t feel comfortable in front of the entire congregation at church, this is a perfect setting to play for a smaller group. If you are a gifted worship leader, we’ll take that too! Either way, be sure to bring 20 copies of the lyrics. The church would be happy to let you use their copier. Just be sure to let Nevitta know a few days in advance so this can be coordinated. Chapel Time Prayer Leader: This is a sweet need. This person opens the chapel time in prayer and closes it in prayer. In addition, this person sticks around and invites the women to come up to them after chapel time for specific prayers. You get to learn more about their needs and some women have come to accept Jesus into their hearts.
