I am deeply heartbroken by the loss of an extraordinary teacher, trusted colleague, and cherished friend. Adelina was truly a force—a standard of grace, patience, and tireless dedication who poured her heart into everyone around her. Whether supporting a student through a tough lesson, reassuring a parent, or offering a warm smile and a helping hand to fellow staff members, she showed up for our community every single day. Her kindness was endless, her work ethic inspiring, and her impact immeasurable. While her absence leaves a void that can never be filled, I am profoundly lucky to have known and learned from her!! ❤️

My sincere condolences!! She was a great teacher, I remember from the time my boys were at Chaparral elementary, she was my nephew’s teacher and made such an impact and very helpful while we were trying to navigate the IEP process as well as the Autism diagnosis.

This is such a loss to the entire Chaparral community. Adelina embodied everything good you wanted to find in a teacher and a person. She cared so much for her students at school but also her family at home.

“Let me tell you…” (one of my favorite phrases of yours). I know we only worked together for a short time, but you made a lasting impact on me. Your kindness, strength, and passion for teaching will never be forgotten. I’m so grateful our paths crossed, even for the short time it did. I will do my best to carry forward everything you taught me, and I hope to one day be even a fraction of the incredible teacher you were. Thank you for leaving such a meaningful mark on my life. Students will continue to hear about Mrs. Celis for years to come. I love you Adelina!
